What's On For Children
Calling all CHILDREN and their Family
– Here at St Egelwin’s Church, Scalford we offer MESSY CHURCH, SCHOOL CHURCH CHOIR and FAMILY 430.
What are they?
Messy Church is a lively session, held once a month from 3-30pm to 5-00pm with a story, song, activities and a meal.
Choir is from 3-30pm to 4-30pm, also once a month, where primary age children are invited to sing, (some new, some old numbers), with the chance to do a little drama and readings.
Family 430 is at 4-30pm, again once a month, for families to come together for a service to use the skills learnt at Choir and extent understanding from Messy Church.
Why are they?
To teach children about the Church and what it can offer; to learn and understand social values and about living as a member of the community; to develop confidence through offering the chance to perform; to contribute to others lives and to help children develop as individuals and as a member of a group.
When are they?
See the Ironstone Villages Family of Churches Website or the Village News but generally
Family 430 Service is the 3rd Sunday of the month with Choir on the Tuesday prior to this service and Messy Church on the last Tuesday of the month.
So what’s this all about?

For families: learn and pray alongside your children, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
